S.I.M.P.L.E. Newsletter
Holy shift, March was a whirlwind of amazingness and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
But before we dive in, you know the drill, the S.I.M.P.L.E. Newsletter is an acronym for
** Story. Inspiration. Music. Plab. Laugh. Educate **
Let’s dive in.
Story Time!
Last month, I crossed a massive item off of my bucket list! I’ve been dreaming of this for 10 years and I finally took to the seas - for an Abraham Hicks cruise!!
Now if you’re asking yourself, wait… Abraham Who?! Here’s a little backstory.
Abraham Hicks is a group of spiritual teachers that teach the principles of the Law of Attraction, and every year they do live workshops on a cruise ship where you can hear them speak live and answer audience member questions in the “hot seat”. π₯
I discovered them when I was in my mid twenties, and I can definitely say that their teachings have single handedly changed my life.
They taught me how to pay attention to my thoughts, how to change my thoughts, and that, in turn, is how I changed my life… and this was actually the catalyst to my entire spiritual journey which began about 15 years ago.
Btw, if you want to learn more about Abrham Hicks, I highly suggest reading their books “Ask and it is Given” and “The Vortex”.
The fact that I got to attend FOUR of their workshops LIVE, explore the Caribbean, and be on a boat for 10 days was literally a dream come true! π€©
As many of you know, the ocean is my happy place (I swear I was a mermaid in a past life π§π»βοΈ) and having this view everyday was the most soul-filling experience I could have asked for.
I spent every day soaking up the sun, breathing in the ocean air, writing, learning, reflecting, and well…. Eating.
Yes, you see 3 different desserts on this plate - don’t judge π- vacation called this girl to GRUB. #nomnomnom
The cruise was 10 days long, with workshops happening while we were at sea, and “excursions” at the different islands in between.
Every workshop was jam packed full of amazing spiritual mic drop moments, and I left each session just buzzing all over with inspiration and feelings of expansion. β‘οΈ
I actually shot some videos documenting ah-ha’s and takeaways from the different workshops, and from the inspirational conversations held in between.
Btw, I plan to put all of that into a blog/vlog that will be focused solely on sharing about the entire trip so…
Keep your eyes peeled for the Abraham Hicks Blog. It’s going to be a doozie! π€©
I also made some new friends who I had an instant soul connection with!

KB and “Janessa” (which is my nickname for Jordan and Vanessa π)
It’s kinda funny how we met, actually…
On Day #2, I was sitting alone at a dinner table in the restaurant, just lost in my own little world working on my phone, shooting content (of course), when I heard a sweet voice say “Is anybody sitting here?”
I looked up and saw Vanessa and Jordan smiling and gestured for them to sit down.
Here’s the thing.
I am the worst with small talk. Like, the absolute worst.
So I tend to be pretty quiet when I first meet somebody because, well…
I don’t know what to do with my hands…

The life of an introvert
Seriously, I'm awkward AF, until….
I meet my people.
And once I meet my people, it is on like donkey kong!
And that’s exactly what happened with these two, because…
Once the conversation started flowing, it was like a pipe burst, and none of us could shut it off!!
We ended up closing down the restaurant, relocating, and then continued to talk till about 2am, and became inseparable for the rest of the cruise!
We talked daily about the teachings of Abraham, spirituality, life, and of course, business. It was like we formed our very own 10 day long business/spiritual mastermind, it was absolutely epic! π€©
Not only are they master manifestors with an extremely high vibe, they’re wildly successful business owners, and just getting to hang with them for the trip expanded my mind and consciousness in ways I can’t even put into words.
It also showed me what’s possible as far as relationships go…
As you know from my Wishbone Blog, my previous relationship didn’t work out…
…mostly because he didn’t like how growth oriented I was, and how much I talked about my business. So it was incredibly inspiring to meet a couple that are as obsessed with growth, business, and spirituality as I am!
And to see how much they love and support each other gave me major #relationshipgoals π
The conversations alone took this trip to an entirely different level, and I’m so grateful to have made some new friends.
By the end of the trip, I couldn’t stop singing πΆCome and knock on our door….πΆπ

And of course exploring the Caribbean was a dream! The water was SO blue, and the views were breathtaking.
I’ve never experienced weather so perfect.
Not too humid, not too hot, not too cold, just utter perfection π
We visited Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaco, and Bonaire, and I swear, I could have stayed in that water forever…

So the cruise was an absolute blast, and I will definitely go again in the future - especially if my new compadres will be there!
Daily Dose Of INSPO
“If you knew how close you were to success, you’d run faster.”
- Robert Schuller
I think one of the most challenging things we face as creatives is not seeing the fruits of our labor as quickly as we’d like.
We’re told, “you gotta have a good mindset!” so we adapt the tools, say the affirmations, and maintain a positive attitude for a while, but then we get frustrated because we don’t see the results, and in many cases, people give up right before they’re about to strike GOLD.
I’m re-reading Napoleon Hills’ “Think and Grow Rich” right now, and there’s a story about a man named R.U. Darby who, along with his uncle, went prospecting for gold during the gold rush era.
Check out Think and Grow Rich Here ππ»ππ»ππ»
They found a promising vein of gold and invested a lot of money into digging for it, but after a while, their efforts yielded no results, so they got discouraged, gave up, and sold their equipment to a junk man.
The junk man consulted with a mining engineer and learned that they had stopped digging just three feet short of a massive gold vein.
He then went on to extract millions of dollars worth of gold from the mine. π€―
Moral of the story?
Success often comes right after the point where someone else gives up.
That’s why I love this quote.
“If you knew how close you were to success, you’d run faster.”
- Robert Schuller
It’s a reminder to keep that fire lit under your toosh, and keep the momentum GOING!
If you were running a race, and you could see the finish line… would you slow down?
Hell no!
Yet we allow self doubt, fear, and procrastination to slow us down all the time.
What if we always ran as if we were JUST about to hit the finish line?
