Scoop
🗞 ANNOUNCEMENT
The first quarter of 2024 has been super exciting, because I launched a brand new podcast called “Create With Kris Bradley” AND a new course called Harmonic Course Creator!
Talk about opening 2024 with BANG💥
But let’s back up for a minute!
First, Produce Like A Boss isn’t going anywhere, so don’t worry about that. In fact, now that I’m done with the launch of Harmonic Course Creator, I’ve got some really exciting new content on the horizon specifically for P.LAB 😄🎧🎶
Introducing the Create podcast and expanding into "non-music" courses stems from a deeper desire to serve our community on a broader scale.
My ultimate goal is to help you tap into your creativity, step into your authenticity, and manifest your deepest desires. I feel like one of my favorite things to do—and perhaps one of my superpowers—is to help creatives get their ideas out of their heads and into the world.
Whether it's a musical idea that I help you produce, or an idea for a business that I can help you build, or even a vision I can help you manifest, it’s my honor to be your creative guide along the process. At the end of the day, everything we want to achieve in life lies in our power to CREATE, and that's why I named the podcast that.
If you’d like to check it out, you can click the image below or head to Youtube or anywhere you listen to podcasts and enter “Create with Kris Bradley”.
🗞 New On Demand Workshop: Unlocking Creativity with AI in Music
Join me for an immersive journey into the world of AI-powered music production in our next P.LAB workshop!
This workshop will teach you how to make AI your creative collaborator and assistant! 🙂
You’ll discover all about how AI can enhance your skills and creativity, and become a powerful tool for you to explore new ideas and streamline your music creation process.
Here are some of the exciting areas we are going to cover:
- The Mindset - Embracing AI as Innovation. Discover the importance of approaching AI with an open and innovative mindset, unlocking new potentials in your music production and career.
- Busting AI Myths and Separating Facts from Fear. I’ll bust some common myths surrounding AI - such as the fear of it replacing human musicians - and show you how you can use AI to support and enhance your creative processes instead.
- Using AI to solve your biggest pain points. We’ll dig into some common challenges in music production, like creative blocks, finding the perfect sounds, and we’ll look at how AI solutions can help!
- Powerful AI Tools for Music Production. We’ll deep dive into the world of versatile AI tools, helping you to create quick and customizable original tracks, unique compositions, and innovative sound designs.
Now, I know a lot of musicians are super resistant to AI, and for some it can even feel scary, and that’s exactly why I’m doing this workshop, to shine a light on how AI can play a positive role in your creativity, and in your business as a musician.
Remember, your value as a musician comes from your unique imagination and perspective. The skills you develop, whether traditional or AI-powered, are tools to help you bring those ideas to life. This workshop will help guide you to embrace AI, not as a replacement for your creativity, but as an ally in your quest to create extraordinary music.
Keep your eyes open for details on the AI workshop, we’ll be sending an email with more details soon!

🗞Session Singer Bootcamp
At the start of this year, we ran a very special workshop that had been demanded by our community - our Session Singer Bootcamp!
This bootcamp went step-by-step through everything you need to know about how to become a profitable session singer.
From beginners to seasoned pros, we catered to everyone's needs. I got my start in this business as a session singer, so this is an area very close to my heart, and that’s why I was so excited to host it!! 🎤
We covered:
- Getting clean, quality vocal recordings (that are absolutely Pro)
- How to record and comp as you go for efficiency and speed (no more taking 6 hours to get that perfect lead done!) 🙂
- The simplest but most AMAZING way to lightly process your vocals (for that Pro sparkle!)
- Tuning made easy (really easy)
- Exporting and delivery (reliably every time)
The feedback? Pure GOLD! 🏆
If you missed this Session Singer Bootcamp, don’t worry! We’ve got more bootcamps like this in the pipeline! Keep an eye on your inboxes 😉
🗞30 Day Produce Your Song Challenge
Can we talk for a minute about the 30 Day Produce Your Song Challenge that we ran through January - February!? 😁
Oh my word, it was sheer brilliance and a total game-changer for those who took part! ✨
Truthfully, when I first started producing, I would have given anything to have somebody guide me through the song production process - right from that glimmer of an idea in my head to actually executing it!
What I notice time and time again is people don't just need more information; what they crave is hands-on assistance in turning their ideas into fully produced songs!
That’s what the 30 Day Produce Your Song Challenge was for!
It was run by our wonderful Community Manager, Katie Dwyer, who is an experienced and skillful Home Studio Boss Producer herself. 🎧 Katie is also so gifted at helping students get ideas out of their head, into their DAW, and out the other end as a fully produced track!
The best part about the challenge is that each week we covered a framework that can be used time and time again to execute, not only on the song you create during the challenge, but on future songs to come.
I've got to say, one of the standout features of the 30-day challenge was its interactive and hands-on approach. This wasn't your typical sit-back-and-soak-it-in kind of deal. Oh, no. It was all about rolling up your sleeves and diving into the work right then and there. You weren't just passively absorbing information; you were given the tools and nudged into action during the call itself. This setup ensured you could immediately apply what you were learning, transforming insights into real, tangible progress. It's learning by doing at its finest.
If you’d like to get on the waiting list for the next 30 Day Produce Your Song Challenge, boop the button below to be added to the waitlist and we’ll let you know as soon as the doors open!
Daily Dose Of INSPO
“The more important a call to action is to our soul's evolution, the more resistance we will feel about answering it.” -Steven Pressfield
In the world of creativity, Steven Pressfield has always been a beacon of wisdom for me, especially with his insights in books like "Do the Work" and "The War of Art."
In the War of Art, he introduces us to the concept of resistance, this almost mystical force that seems to stand in our way whenever we set out to create something.
Ever notice that?
Whenever you set out to do the thing you need to do the most, that sneaky little bugger ‘resistance’ gets SUPER loud?!
And it manifests in many forms - self-doubt, procrastination, fear - becoming particularly strong when we're on the cusp of something truly significant.
Pressfield's observation that "the more important a call to action is to our soul's evolution, the more resistance we will feel about answering it," really strikes a chord for me, and it’s something I still struggle with from time to time.
And sometimes it breaks my brain because it's as if the magnitude of what we're trying to achieve directly fuels the intensity of our doubts and fears. 🤯
Let me know if you can relate!
In situations like this, I really like to embrace the saying “you gotta name it to tame it” theory.
This idea resonates because it emphasizes the power of recognition.
By acknowledging the presence of resistance and understanding that it's a natural part of the creative journey, we arm ourselves with the knowledge to overcome it.
This act of naming our struggle accomplishes two vital things:
- It presents us with a clear challenge to overcome. It gives us a problem to solve.
- It reassures us that we're not alone in our feelings; we're not "crazy."
The truth is, resistance is a persistent companion on the creative path.
It never fully disappears.
There will never be that perfect moment when you're suddenly free from it, eagerly jumping into action without hesitation. But, by identifying resistance for what it is, by “naming it to tame it” we can develop the awareness that allows us to conquer it.

Producer of the Month

🥳 Huge congratulations to our Producer of the Month for March 2024 - Eddie King. 🥳
Eddie's musical journey embarks from the heart of Chicago, where he has mastered various instruments, including trombone, piano/keys, and vocals. With over 20 years of professional experience, Eddie is not only a seasoned performer but also an accomplished music director and educator - and his music career has taken him around the world! 🌎
In the realm of production, Eddie's journey began as he adapted to the challenges posed by the pandemic. Shifting from live performances to virtual environments, he explored music creation using Garageband and later delved into Logic.
His productions encompassed a diverse range of genres, reflecting his eclectic taste, including country, mariachi, superhero themes, and synthpop. His fave sounds are classic 70’s soul and R&B sounds, though. “I love the tight rhythm sections and funky drums, the horns, the BGVs, and the epic arrangements!” he says.
Eddie’s discovery of Produce Like a Boss marked a turning point in his career. Burned out from live performances, Eddie found a rejuvenating light in the P.LAB community, he says “ finding P.LAB was like flipping on a light in a dark room, and all of a sudden I could see the next phase of my career starting,”. The positive and supportive environment allowed him to share his wins, connect with like-minded individuals, and find inspiration in others' journeys. 🥰
Currently, Eddie is immersed in the early stages of production life, focusing on songwriting for sync and beat licensing, setting up his home studio producer assets, and balancing the creation of an online presence with the demands of music production. He is also releasing his own music for the first time, starting with a weekly lo-fi beat series!
Eddie also has a unique claim to a "Grammy by association," having played trombone on Patty Griffin's Grammy-winning album in 2019. He even possesses a certificate validating his contribution to the "Best Folk Album." 👏
HUGE congratulations, Eddie. We've been loving being part of your journey and are excited to witness your continued success in 2024! 🎉🎶🌟
Let’s take a look at some of Eddie’s key wins!
- Has worked professionally in music for 20+ years, traveling all over the world
- Was involved with a performing arts program that turns children's creative stories into songs and skits.
- Is focused now on writing to build up a library for sync and beat licensing.
- Is in the process of setting up his website, social sites, email list etc.
- Releasing his own music for the very first time - sharing a lo-fi beat every week under the name "Dreamboat Beats".
You can find out more about Eddie here.
