I remember the turning point in my own journey when I decided to dive headfirst into producing.
Sitting in a pitch to publisher meeting, a Nashville publisher listened to my rough demo and said...
"Kris, you're a great songwriter, but you need more than a worktape to represent your songs. If you could only produce your own songs, you'd be unstoppable!"
Those words sparked a fire within me.🔥
I was determined to never let my songs suffer due to poor recording quality again!
So I immersed myself in learning music production, and the results were astonishing.
Not only did I save money on demos, but people started paying ME for my skills, from session vocals to custom songs, producing demos, and even creating music for film and TV.
I fell in love with the feeling of being in control of my music, and no longer relying on other producers schedules or budgets.
Eventually, my home studio evolved into a thriving business, (earning me well over 6 figures) crushing the "starving artist" myth I had been trapped in for over a decade.
