For the Producer Who's Done Second-Guessing Every Mix
You know the techniques. You've seen how professionals work.
But knowing and doing are two different things.
Most producers walk away from a clinic inspired — and then open their DAW alone and second-guess every move.
Neither leads to confidence. Neither leads to mixes that sound professional.
This cohort is for the producer who's ready to close that gap for good.
Four live group mix sessions with award winning mix engineer Chris Clayton: 1:30PM CST on April 14th, May 12th, June 16th, and July 14th.Â
Real mixes. Real feedback. Real DAW sessions in Logic Pro.
So you can make confident decisions, finish mixes you trust, and sound like a professional — every time you open a session.
Â
The Producers Who Sound Professional Aren't More Talented
Â
They've just had someone in the room with them long enough for the techniques to become instinct.
That's not something a course gives you. That's not something a tutorial gives you.
That's what guided, repeated application gives you — and it's exactly what this cohort is built around.
A year from now, one of two things will be true.
You'll be a producer who mixes with confidence — decisions made on purpose, mixes that translate, work you're proud to send out.
Or you'll still be adjusting the same knobs, not fully sure if you're pushing too far or not far enough, finishing tracks you don't completely trust.
The gap between those two producers isn't talent. It isn't gear. It's this decision. Right here.
Â
Why Most Producers Stay Stuck After the Clinic
It's not that they didn't pay attention.
It's that applying new techniques alone — without feedback, without a professional in the room — is where confidence breaks down.
You try an EQ move. You're not sure if it worked.
You compress something. You wonder if you went too far.
You listen back and can't tell anymore.
That's not a skill problem. That's an isolation problem.
The Mix Like A Boss Cohort exists to solve exactly that.
Â
This Is How the Techniques Become Yours
Over 4 live group sessions over 4 months, Chris Clayton will rebuild a real mix from scratch, one layer at a time. You'll watch the decisions get made in real time, hear why each one matters, ask real time questions and bring that same thinking back to your own sessions.
Not theory. Not a lecture. A working producer showing you exactly how a professional mix gets built — from the ground up.
Session 1: The Rhythm SectionÂ
Chris pulls in the drums, percussion, and bass and walks through his entire process — how he treats each element, and how they work together as a foundation. This is where every great mix starts.
Session 2: Guitars
Building on the rhythm section from Session 1, Chris layers in electric and acoustic guitars — how they sit in the mix, how they support the song without crowding it, and how to make them translate.
Session 3: KeysÂ
Keys live in every frequency range and compete with everything. Chris walks through how he carves out space for keys in a full mix and makes them feel intentional rather than like an afterthought.
Session 4:Â Vocals, Effects & Stems
This is where the mix comes alive. Chris covers vocal riding, reverbs and delays, harmonies and backgrounds — and closes out with his full process for printing stems, so you walk away knowing exactly how to deliver a professional, ready-to-release mix.
Â

Meet Your Coach
Chris Clayton
— Producer, Songwriter & Mix Engineer
Twenty-five years ago, Chris Clayton started doing what he still does today — getting in the room with artists and helping them make records that matter.
You've probably heard his work. Chris Tomlin. Keith & Kristyn Getty. Darlene Zschech. Big Daddy Weave. Bethel Music. Shane and Shane. That's two and a half decades of showing up and delivering at the highest level — for artists at the level you're trying to reach.
Chris is a Nashville producer, a Texan at heart, and a straight talker. When he teaches, you get exactly what you need to know and nothing you don't.
He doesn't just know how professional mixes are made. He’s doing it on the regular.
For the next 4 months, that expertise is yours.
Your Investment
That's less than hiring a mix coach for hundreds per hour. Less than the cost of releasing music that doesn't translate.
Every time you open your DAW after this cohort, you'll hear the return on that investment.
The Guarantee
Show up to the first session — camera on, present the whole session, ready to learn, engaged in the chat.
If you do that and it's not worth every dollar, email us within 24 hours of the first session and we'll refund you. No questions asked.
