Owner, Produce Like A Boss

I spent years thinking I was waiting for my music career to happen. I started writing songs at ten, studied piano performance in college, recorded albums, learned to produce, and kept putting in the reps.

But underneath all of that work, I was still waiting. Waiting for the right person to hear my music. Waiting for a label to say yes. Waiting for some sign that I was good enough and that all of this was actually going somewhere.

Meanwhile, life happened. Work got busier. I had kids. The songs piled up, the goalpost kept moving, and I couldn’t have told you what I was shooting at anymore.

Then I realized: I thought I was waiting for something. I didn’t realize I was building something.

Today, I own my masters, my publishing, and my copyrights. I’ve built a six-figure career in music through licensing, producing, and creating music for businesses.

My catalog has more than 1.5 million streams, but almost none of my income comes from streaming. It’s supplemental at best.

No label. No manager. No massive following. No viral moment.

I get to make the music I want, own what I create, get paid in more than one way, and say no to work that doesn’t fit. Most importantly, music never became something I used to do.

The system I built along the way became MAPS: Music, Admin, Promotion, and Systems. It’s the framework I wish someone had handed me when I was working this hard but couldn’t see where any of it was going.

It was never a talent problem

Maybe you’ve wondered if the problem is you.

Maybe you’re not talented enough. Not disciplined enough. Too busy. Too far behind.

I don’t think that’s the problem.

The problem isn’t that you don’t care enough.

The problem is that you’re doing a lot of work without a clear finish line.

You’ve bought the course. The plugin. The new piece of gear. And buying it was easier than using it.

Buying takes an afternoon
Doing the work takes time

So the course sits unfinished. The plugin barely gets opened. And instead of helping, it becomes one more reminder of what you haven’t done yet.

You don’t need a bigger dream. You need to know what you’re building toward.

The Framework

Music gets stuck in four places

M
Music

What finished actually means, and why most songs aren’t unfinished: they’re undecided.

A
Admin

What you own, and whether you could prove it tomorrow.

P
Promotion

How the right people find work like yours.

S
Systems

What keeps all of it running when life gets loud.

Each one needs the other.

Admin with no music is paperwork.

Music with no admin is a hard drive.

Promotion without either is noise.

Those four pieces are MAPS. Once you have all four working, it gets a lot easier to see where your music career is actually going.

What happens in this one-hour free masterclass

This isn’t another hour of information to save for later.

1

We’ll figure out why all the work you’ve already done still doesn’t feel like it’s adding up.

2

I’ll show you the new finish line, then walk you through the four parts of MAPS: Music, Admin, Promotion, and Systems, and what it looks like when all four are actually working together.

3

You’ll see my own system and catalog on screen, including the messy parts.

4

Then you’ll score yourself in all four areas. By the end, you’ll know where you are, what’s actually getting in the way, and which part needs your attention next.

What you leave with

No worksheets or things to download and feel guilty about later. You leave with something more useful.

01

A finish line you can actually see.

02

A clear reason the things you’ve tried before haven’t stuck.

03

Your MAPS score, so you know exactly where to focus next.

You don’t need more information. You need to know what to do with what you already have.

If you’re someone who wants more access

The free masterclass gives you the map. Backstage gives you 30 more minutes with me to talk about your situation.

When the main room closes, I’ll stay for live hot-seat coaching. Bring your catalog, your question, the thing you can’t figure out, and we’ll talk through it together.

This isn’t another lesson.

It’s your music. Your situation. Your next move.

The first thing I know now is how to own my music. I also learned I can be my own publisher and don’t need an LLC to start out.

I knew I would not have anywhere finished songs because I’m at the beginning stages of writing the musical. However, this is super helpful to organize and motivate me to move the process along.

This is for you if

01

You’ve been making music long enough that quitting isn’t really on the table.

02

You’ve released work you’re proud of, and you still can’t say what it’s adding up to.

03

You’ve bought things you haven’t finished, and you’d rather not buy another one until you get clear on your finish line.

04

You’re trying to make a living from music, on your terms, in the life you have.

05

You want to know what to do next, from someone who’s been where you are and wants to see you get to where you want to go.

It isn’t for you if

You’re waiting for someone to discover you and you’d like help being discovered faster. That’s a real path and other people teach it well. It isn’t what we’re teaching here.

You’ve made too much to not know what it’s adding up to.

Questions

Is this actually free?+

Yes. Register, show up, and I’ll teach the whole system. There’s a $19 Backstage upgrade if you want time with me afterward. You can add that after registration.

Do I need to have done anything first?+

No. Bring what you’ve got, however messy.

What if I can’t make it live?+

There’s a replay for 72 hours. Come live if you can. The scoring and the questions only happen in the room.

Do you cover AI?+

When it’s useful, not the panic version. The question I actually get asked is from people using it as a jam buddy or a session musician, wanting to know how that affects what they own.

The years are already spent.

The songs exist. The gear is bought. You’ve already put in the hours. You don’t need to start over.

You need a finish line you can see, and a system that helps all that work finally add up to something.
